Stop sewage discharge into rivers Coln & Windrush

The Rivers Trust claim that sewage flowed into the Coln river 1 day in 4 at Fairford last year. This is unacceptable.

I have worked hard to stop the dumping of raw sewage into the Coln and Windrush rivers. The Conservative Government’s Storm Overflows Taskforce has announced that measures to reduce discharges will be put into law, forcing water companies to accelerate provision of real time discharge data by 2023. Our campaigning has forced water companies to be more transparent about their sewage discharge, now them must come up with a timetable.

I am now calling for Thames Water to come forward with a plan and timetable to halt the discharge of sewage into the Coln and Windrush at the earliest opportunity.
