Today I welcome new figures showing 1015 fewer people in Exeter claiming Jobseeker’s Allowance compared to 2010 - a 58% per cent fall.
This means more people with the self-respect and security of a good job and a regular pay packet.
People are getting off benefits and into work across the South West, with 132,000 more people in work compared to the last election.
Overall there are now a record 30.80 million people in work, with 1.75 million more people in work since 2010.
Jobs are being created in Exeter by businesses like Midas and Alcoa Howmet.
